GT advisory committee and Parent Involvement
The GT Advisory Committee is made up of a group of parents and teachers - along with the GT Coordinator - with the purpose of creating a partnership between the school and community to benefit our GT students. The Advisory Committee members serve as liaisons to parents and the community in order to foster communication and to reach out to community members who might serve as guest speakers or mentors. Members of the committee include:
Veronica Cotton - [email protected]
Kathy Hall - [email protected]
Beth Stein - [email protected]
Brooke Weston - [email protected]
Mark Woolard - [email protected]
In addition to the Advisory Committee, parents of GT students are invited and encouraged to be involved with events and activities within the GT program! In addition to serving as chaperons and assistants in Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad, and Math Day, Pea Ridge parents have also been critical to the success of our International Marketplace at the Intermediate School. We also welcome you to share your talents and experience with our students as guest speakers and/or career mentors. The GT Coordinator emails or sends letters home when events such as these arise, but you are also welcome to email us if you wish to volunteer in other ways. If you are interested in serving on the GT Advisory Committee or simply want us to know of your availability to help with GT activities or events, please contact any of the Advisory Committee members.

PARENT MEETINGS
Parent Meetings are offered annually as a way to share information about GT program options and activities. Parents are notified of these meetings via email and/or letters sent home.
