Students in the Creative Problem Solving group work on developing and refining their creative thinking and group collaboration skills. The students work in teams to develop solutions to problems outlined in each year's Odyssey of the Mind competition. We are proud to have teams represented at state competition for the past three years in a row!
Each year, the Intermediate GT students study the culture of a different country or region in anticipation of the annual International Marketplace. Students worked to create original displays, artwork, research, and products to sell. There have even been some cultural performances!
3rd-5th grade GT classes worked together to research the culture and history of Morocco for the Intermediate School's first International Marketplace in 2012. Students also created original products and artwork, made authentic Moroccan food, performed Moroccan music, and dressed in costume as part of creating a Moroccan souk. Parents and older siblings were instrumental in making costumes and helping to organize and supervise the evening's events.
